Privacy Policy

Effective August 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Deadline Chip accesses, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Deadline Chip Google Workspace add-on and related deadline links.

Information we process

When you create a deadline, Deadline Chip stores the deadline name, deadline date and time in UTC, selected original timezone, creation timestamp, status, and a randomly generated deadline identifier.

The add-on receives timezone and locale context supplied by Google Workspace so it can display dates and times correctly. Deadline Chip does not use this context to build advertising profiles.

Google user data

Deadline Chip does not read or store the text of your Google Docs documents. It uses Google Workspace authorization only to provide its add-on interface, create and preview Deadline Chip links, determine applicable locale and timezone context, and make secure requests to the Deadline Chip service.

The Add to Google Calendar button opens a prefilled Google Calendar page for your review. Deadline Chip does not directly create, edit, or read calendar events.

How information is used

Sharing and sale of data

Deadline Chip does not sell personal information or Google user data. Information is not shared with advertisers. Service providers used to operate the app, including Google Cloud, Firebase, Firestore, and Apps Script, process information only as needed to provide the service.

Public deadline links

Deadline links are accessible to anyone who possesses the unique link. Do not place confidential or sensitive information in a deadline name. Deadline identifiers are designed to be difficult to guess, but recipients can forward a link.

Retention and deletion

Deadline records are retained to keep existing smart chips functional. You may request deletion of a deadline record by contacting support and providing the deadline link or identifier. Operational logs and cached copies may persist temporarily for security, reliability, and backup purposes.

Security

Deadline Chip uses access controls, signed creation requests, encrypted HTTPS connections, and Google Cloud infrastructure. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Limited Use

Deadline Chip's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
