Overview
Deadline Chip is designed to help people create and view timezone-aware deadlines inside Google Docs™. We aim to collect only the information needed to make the service work.
Information Deadline Chip uses
When a deadline is created, Deadline Chip may store information necessary to display and manage that deadline, such as:
- Deadline name or label
- Deadline date and time
- Original timezone
- Calculated UTC deadline time
- Creation timestamp
- Status information needed for the deadline to function
Deadline Chip does not need the full contents of your Google document in order to provide its core deadline functionality.
Google account and Google Workspace data
Deadline Chip uses Google Workspace APIs and permissions only as needed to provide its features.
Access to Google user data is limited to the functionality required for Deadline Chip to operate. Deadline Chip does not sell Google user data.
Local time and timezone information
Deadline Chip may use locale or timezone-related information to show a deadline in a viewer's local time. This information is used to provide the feature and is not intended to identify the viewer.
Website analytics
The Deadline Chip website and Marketplace listing may use aggregated analytics to understand general usage, such as visits, listing impressions, installations, or feature activity.
Where product analytics are used, the goal is to understand how Deadline Chip is being used without collecting document contents or unnecessary personal information.
Data storage
Deadline-related records may be stored using Google Cloud or Firebase services that support Deadline Chip's functionality.
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect stored information and limit access.
Data sharing
Deadline Chip does not sell personal information.
Information may be processed by service providers required to operate the product, such as Google Cloud, Firebase, or other infrastructure providers used to deliver Deadline Chip.
Data retention
Deadline-related information may remain stored for as long as necessary to provide the feature, maintain the service, resolve technical issues, or satisfy legitimate operational requirements.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information used by Deadline Chip. However, no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as Deadline Chip changes. The date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
